More than one hour away from Tokyo by the Romance Car (bullet train), Hakone is a quaint little place that the Japanese exploited fully for its tourism dollar. As much as I love and appreciate Hakone’s natural beauty and solitude, I felt disappointed that it was too commercialised. The place were packed with tourist even though I went on midweek.

However, there are many things to do in Hakone and I’ll still suggest that you visit it if you’re in Tokyo and you have time!
